The Club was formed during the 1950's and continues to this day. We meet every Thursday at 7.45 pm in the Old School Room, Parkes Passage in Stourport Town Centre. Post Code DY13 9EA. Parking is limited, Vale Road Car Park is nearby.
As a Club we are affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (P.A.G.B) and the Midland Counties Photographic Federation (M.C.P.F). Some individual club members are with the Royal Photographic Society. (R.P.S.)
Currently we have forty plus members, both ladies and gentlemen with a range of experience from beginners to professionals.
The Club offers a varied and interesting programme of events each week.
Every month we have a club competition, usually the last Thursday, open to all members and always judged by an outside independent judge. Whether you have entered or not, one can always enjoy seeing the work of fellow members and perhaps learn from the comments of the judges.
The competitions alternate each month between Prints and Digital Projected Images (D.P.I's) with classes in both Colour and Monochrome.
We have "Battles" with other local clubs to make friends and compare their current work with ours. Home or away, always very pleasant evenings, again judged by an outsider.
On a regular basis, we have lecturers showing their own high quality work, explaining and sometimes demonstrating the techniques used.
As you can see from our programme we offer much more, all designed to help you enjoy taking photographs and get the best out of a very rewarding hobby.
If you would like more information, telephone Philip Williamson on:- 01562 67070 or any Committee Member listed on the programme.
